Centre Street Parking West Roxbury - Fresh Catch to GO -- Seafood

Hey Folks

Take out Food on Centre Street can be very easy if you are strategic...1) call ahead 2) double park or have a drop off buddy..3)leveraged parking - Roche Brothers etc..

Some business owners like the LUKOIL gas station across the street don't mind if you briefly park out of the way in the lot.. Thai Spice... Fresh Catch to Go.

A quick word Fresh Catch to Go at 1753 Centre Street in West Roxbury I am hearing should open very soon...and that the lag has been on inspection... ie getting those with badges to come inspect and sign off... The owners are friendly, I was able to get a peek inside - its completely brand new and shiny clean -- take a peek if you can.

I am also hearing their food is expected to ROCK... like the "Chowdah", unlike its competitors, is actually going to have CLAMS in it!!!

Not only do they have soft drinks in the cooler out front, they now have all their licenses and certifications up on the wall. Last night, there were a couple of people working on the place (I walked by after ordering some momos and chicken biryani at Himalayan Bistro)

You dont know WOW if you dont know "Single Shrimp" ( a menu tasting item ) at Fresh Catch to Go... I ordered a 1/2 dozen for about 5 bucks.. spiced, herbed crisped sensations....I certainly will be back for a dozen next time.. I also got a fish sandwich, ( next to competitors) ..I got 2 BIG pieces of haddock... and I could not finish my fries..

I was impressed the menu comes Fried, broiled, or baked with other healthy choices... the portions seemed overly large to the price -- not to mention fresh and clean.

You can barbecue it, boil it, single it, real it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There are, uh, shrimp kabobs, shrimp creole... shrimp gumbo, pan-fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp... shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich... that's, that's about it.

Your post was accurate -- I am new to the area as well as this hub board... I live off Centre Street and I will be back for more seafood. The large shrimp were great.

I noticed on the way home yesterday it was open. I want to try it out.

But it's kind of, you know, fishy, that two new messages about how wonderful the shrimp are at this place show up from the same exact IP number right after each othre. Granted, it's RCN, which could mean nothing, since RCN probably shares like two IP numbers for all its subscribers (oh, snap), but still.

If the restaurant does want to advertise, please have them contact me. The Boston Blogs Ad Network will get their ads in front of tens of thousands of actual local people, for a lot less than certain sites we could name.

Yes -- Big Paper has a confession -- he is merely a friend of FCTG -- who posted in the wrong forum... AdamG was contacted to right the matter and maybe get some TRUE advertising done.... Give the folks there a shot .. they are really trying... I was merely trying to kelp....My Blair Fish Project failed. ... BIG PAPER is going to Waterworld ... and wont be back.
