Sam Baltrusis reports that some movie that was to star Mark Wahlberg beating people up is moving to Connecticut and will star Hugh Jackman slicing beating people up.
If they're not going to film it in Boston as originally planned, then I hope Wahlberg's exact quote was "Hi, I'm Mahk Wahlberg, you guys know me. Not filming in Bahston? Go fahk yahself. Say hi to your muthah for me, okay?"
This thing never ceases to amaze me. Bostonians DO NOT SAY BAHSTON. Ironically, that phonetic spelling is closer to standard American mid-west English. Bostonians say BAWSTIN. "AH" is ONLY in words like PARK, which would be PAHK. Fuck is fuck, not FAHK. The movies have really screwed people up.
While I obviously think this change is horrible, maybe you could refer to the alleged film as just that? Or "kangaroo movie" or somesuch? This site usually has too much integrity to stoop to Rotten-Tomatoes-like slurs, no matter how much a studio might deserve them.

Maybe not
The final line of the linked article now says that Hugh Jackman is rumored to be attached to the script (instead of Wahlberg?).
Yes, rumor is
Mark Wahlberg is out and Hugh Jackman is in.
Good

It might be more like
"fawk" then, but it's a distinctly different vowel than the one I use (my family is from various parts of the NW and midwest).
Boston Accent
A short "u" hardly changes anywhere in the country. Boston does not have a special "u" pronunciation.
Thug?
