Seth Gitell forwarded this photo of some ominous crows this morning at the Dunkin' Donuts drive thru on American Legion Highway.

Actually not that far from the DD on American Legion Hghy one might actually say there is a crow infestation.
Not that long ago walking near there I looked up and counted at least 200 or more in the nearby trees. These were not sparrows or starlings - large crows.
It is somewhat unusual to see such concentrations this late in the season.
The pickings must be good.
It did have the erie feeling of the movie, "The Birds."

There's a huge concentration of crows around here, which I learned about a few years back during one of those West Nile Virus scares when birds started dropping like, um, flies.
On our block, couple the crows with all the bluejays and it gets to be quite the squawkfest sometimes.
