Dorchester man arrested for alleged ice rage
Boston Police report arresting a Newhall Street resident early Sunday on charges he ripped a drain pipe off the side of a neighbor's house because some water draining from it collected on the sidewalk and froze.
According to the caller, he heard someone knocking and kicking on his front door. When he looked outside to see who it was, the caller says he observed his next door neighbor ripping a drain pipe off the side of his house. According to the caller, the neighbor also threatened to do bodily harm unto him.
Police say that when officers knocked on Harold Lavee's door, "the suspect stepped outside with his fists in the air," but quickly assumed a more passive position when he realized it was cops, not the neighbor. He was charged with malicious destruction of property and disturbing the peace.
