The Grand Procession into the new year

My favorite parts of the First Night Grand Procession are always the unusual outfits and the giant puppets, because you just don't tend to see stuff like that in your average parade.

Not appreciated: annoying protest march behind Grand Procession
If you stayed along the parade route after all the police cars and fire trucks had passed by, you might have noticed a ragtag band of angry protesters carrying signs and yelling "Free Palestine". The "Viva Chavez y Ahmadinejad" sign was an especially sweet touch. Not.
Yeah, he was fun
I wonder if he was part of the overall protest or he just jumped in.
