JC Monahan predicts 'first plowable snow' of the season, and that's good enough for me

* French Toast Alert Level: Elevated. Explanation.

JC Monahan on Channel 5 just predicted 2-5 inches of snow in the Boston area Saturday and Sunday evening (she actually showed off one computer model putting 7 inches in Worcester, although she added that she thinks that's "too aggressive") . Got enough eggs, milk and bread to last you through Monday?

Never sleep with a TV

Never sleep with a TV weatherman.

what about a weatherwoman?

there are several to choose from. i get dylan dreyer.

That would be flattering for guys

The magnitude of accumulation tends to be inflated either way!

This is the current National Weather Service forecast

for Boston:

Saturday: Rain likely, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 43. North wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 2am. Low around 32. North wind between 9 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: A slight chance of snow before 7am. Partly cloudy, with a high near 44. West wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

One quarter to a one half of an inch of snow. Doesn't sound like a plowable amount to me.

I don't know

I guess it's going to depend on how long it's been since you plowed anything.

I can imagine after a while even the slightest whiff of the stuff will make you want to plow it.

hmmmm

Well Wonk on ch 5 evening news says only 1-2, most of which will melt. Conflicting weathermen?

Thus

My twitter post a few hours ago:

According to the different weather forecasts I've seen today, it's either going to be 75 and sunny or -20 and 3 feet of snow tomorrow.

I predicted in the thread

I predicted in the thread from the other day that there would be no snow at all. Is there a website where one can bet on snow?
