MBTA's pledge of transparency doesn't extend to the future of the 39 bus route

The Jamaica Plain Gazette reports on secret meetings of an MBTA working group on possible changes to the 39 route. A T project manager told the paper the public was welcome to attend sessions, but the sessions were never publicized - even one participant says she was not told of some meetings.

Secret meetings or incompetent public relations?

It sometimes takes a year for meeting notes to appear online, it doesnt surprise me that meeting notices also get lost

Edit: Looking at the full article it appears that they werent secret meetings, just internal meetings.

Whats bothersome is that the EOT did a full report in 2006 or 2007 on how to improve the 39. Why are they starting the process again and not just using those recommendations?
