Acid test downtown

Boston Police tweet the fifth floor of 11 Ave. de Lafayette had to be evacuated this afternoon after somebody spilled some nitric acid, but that the city hazmat team neutralized the acid (with a familiy size box of baking soda?) and all is clear.

minor problem...

I'm not sure if you've got your Frenchmen confused, or your geography confused; Ave. de Lafayette is between Chinatown and Government Center. Ave. Louis Pasteur is in the medical area.

I can't keep my Frenchmen separated

You're right, thanks. Lafayette is downtown, and that's the address BPD gave.

If it was on Ave. Louis

If it was on Ave. Louis Pasteur it would have been funnier.

I spilled Mercury in Physics class in 10th grade. The teacher just had a special sponge to pick it up. He told us not to flick the glass tube it was in but I did.

It was worth it -- Mercury is coooooool. :)

Yeah, that's how I got confused

You don't tend to think of nitric acid and Downtown Crossing - but what do I know?
