Somewhat misleading

Much of that work was done by mechanical harvesters, brought in specially to clear out the bulk of the growth. The hand-weeders (I was one of them) cleaned up around the water lilies and under the trees along the banks where the machines couldn't get.

Plants may have rights, but not the right to completely take over the river!
