Alleged dumbasses charged with charging Celtics fans to park in a lot meant for MBTA employees

Was there a John Locke look-a-like contest in town?Thomas Fitzpatrick of Dorchester and Daniel Campbell, of no place in particular, were arrested outside the Garden last night when an MBTA inspector spotted them taking money and directing Celtics fans to spaces in a parking lot meant for T workers, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Despite numerous "No Event Parking" and "Orange Line Employees Only" signs, at least on person got taken and another was about to be when police arrived, the DA's office says:
One of them had paid the men $30 for a parking space, and the other was about to do so. As the officers were speaking with one of the victims, Fitzpatrick apparently overheard someone say that they had been charging $35, to which he allegedly exclaimed, "We only charged $30!"
The two were ordered held in lieu of $1,000 at their arraignment in Boston Municipal Court today, the DA's office says.

Two Not-Entirely-Serious Observations
1) Why is downtown real estate being wasted providing parking for T employees? Why aren't they taking the T to work?
2) I haven't yet watched last night's LOST, but doesn't John Locke or whatever entity is inhabiting John Locke have better things to do that scam people, as shown in the left mug shot?

Indeed...even when they don't have parking lots they just park in the street or on the sidewalk anyway.
For that matter, why didn't the Celtics fans
scammed by these guys take public transportation instead?
Seriously, re: Point # 1, as I recall the area, I suspect the "MBTA Employees parking lot" is really a paved area to gain access to ventilation equipment for the subway tunnel or something like that. It's MBTA property, so why would they restrict their employees from parking there?
