I think this may be another case of how scientists with odd research are starting to actually want to get the IgNobel.
The bat researchers published their work. Then they edited their video to a short, sweet couple of minutes, set it to a 70s vintage porn soundtrack, put it on youtube, and e-mailed it to science bloggers.
Not that I mind - damn funny! But still interesting how an Iggy is now a feather in the cap for an ... er ... um ... job well done.
