crap
This is a total blow to anybody who cares about local contemporary art. And not just Newbury st, but the boston art scene as a whole. There's a lack of galleries for a good, local contemporary art, which then drives these artists out of Boston. We're stuck with bland landscapes and flowers. I'm sure if rotenberg were a gallery of lobster paintings and beach scenes, it'd be a thriving business.
