About 45 minutes after Boston's snow emergency went into effect, BTD was busy towing cars off Boylston Street in the Fenway, Jeff Tamagini tweets.
Where to park in Boston: Lists of free or low-cost parking lots and garages for Boston residents with parking stickers (note to Boston: the Pru garage is not a practical alternative for Roslindale residents).

Towing in Cambridge started at 2:30
I took my son in to do some shopping and have lunch. We were walking back to our car (parked on a side street resident only except Sunday spot ...) and there were fleets of tow trucks on both Mt. Auburn and Brattle, hauling cars away.
Towing in Roslindale
They towed my car around 1:45. I didn't even know anything about a snow emergency and begged the tow truck driver not to take the car because I've only been here a week. No dice.
