Can Government Center go green?

The city hosts a symposium on greening Government Center on Thurs., Dec. 9 in the Rabb Lecture Hall at the BPL in Copley Square. Starts at 4 p.m.

I can never figure out why they don't plan one or two trees down there. Even in planters that can be moved for events or construction.

The less maintenance the complex receives, and the uglier it looks, the easier it is for Menino to push for a new city hall.
