Could we see northern lights?

UPDATE: Matt Noyes at NECN says forget it, unless you want to drive up toward the Canadian border.
Maybe, and maybe if the clouds go away. The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics reports three massive waves of solar particles could hit the upper atmosphere and create aurorae possibly visible this far south (there are actually four, but one is due to hit in the middle of sunlight). The first hits around 3 a.m. Wednesday (give or take three hours in either direction), followed by 8 p.m., Wednesday and 2 a.m. Thursday. Latest predictions from the center. Look north, natch.
If you do go out to look, have this song playing.
