Forest Hills could get new restaurant
The Boston Licensing Board considers a proposed nouvelle-cuisine bistro at 3698 Washington St. at a hearing on Aug. 18.
At the hearing, which starts at 10 a.m. in City Hall, Rm. 801, owner Coran McCormack will explain the concept and need behind Tonic, which would open in the former Griffin's bar across from the Forest Hills T stop. McCormack is seeking a full liquor license.
Earlier this year, his lawyer told the the West Roxbury Courthouse Neighborhood Association it would be sort of like Ten Tables or VeeVee, according to a report in the Jamaica Plain Gazette - which said another restaurateur is planning another restaurant in a long closed barbershop next door.

Awesome! Always love to see
Awesome! Always love to see a new business in Forest Hills. Lame name though.
But let's wait for the other restaurant
Because it would be awesome if its name were Gin.
