Globe prints same comics two days in a row

Yesterday in black and white, today in color, according to Whalehead King, who requests the paper knock it off:

... Mr. Boffo is not any more hilarious in color. For Better or For Worse, is not cuter in color. Spiderman is not more exciting in color. Dilbert is not more insightful in color. Doonesbury is no more droll in color than it is in black and white. They are all just as good, or lack thereof, in either format. ...

It looks like what happened

It looks like what happened was they ran (most of) today's comics yesterday. And today, instead of doing the smart thing and running the comics they skipped, they decided to run today's comics anyway. Wouldn't less people complain about running two days of comics in the reverse order rather than running the same comics twice in a row?

Of course not

Clearly you lack that certain something to run a major metropolitan daily comics page. You just don't understand the average comics page reader.

I, in my capacity as an idealized Globe comics reader and recent lobotomy patient, missed that one day of narrative development and have already lost the storyline in Spiderman, and would have to complain if they ran the strips out of order. I think it was "something, spider sense tingling, something something, OMG I'm going to hang up my mask and tights and stop being Spiderman and shag Mary Jane 24/7, something something, sweet merciful crap isn't that [a villain who was tiresome 30 years ago] over there in teh shadowz!?!, something something something, wow Jonah Jameson is a douchebag, LOLZ." But I'm fuzzy on details, and now I'll never figure out what's going on in the strip again.

NB: I haven't read the Spiderman strip in at least a dozen years, but I'd bet good money that I just summarized the storyline from some time in the last six months.

Comics

Alas, we goofed. It's all explained right here, at www.boston.com/bostonglobe, if you scroll down it's on the right side under "Tuesday's Comics." And for the record, "For Better and For Worse" is totally cuter in color. C'mon!

The roster of online comics at boston.com....

...is (almost) totally different from the comic strips included in the paper. Why?

(At least when _I_ click on the comics links).

I don't see the words "Tuesday's comics" anywhere on that page
