Green Line riders with boys should prepare to paint some lamb's blood on their door frames

Because the Green Line continues to be plagued with problems. This morning, it's signal problems in the central downtown tunnel, so bad the T is advising people to take the Orange Line between Haymarket and Copley instead.
This follows last night's tree and derailment, which of course followed floods in the spring. Throw in annoying students with backpacks and we're only five plagues away from the taking of the firstborn male children.

Announcement heard on the O-Line this morning
"Attention passengers, we are currently experiencing delays in service on the Green Line due to signal problems. We apologize for any inconvenience". There was no word as to why the Orange Line was delayed.
AFAIK, there was no delay on the Orange Line
this morning. Rather, the multiple T alerts tagged "DUPLICATE" that I got about the signal problem (and one of the message signs I saw while our C train was sitting at Park Street) advised Green Line passengers to use the Orange Line between Back Bay and North Station instead.
Perhaps the T Riders Union's
Perhaps the T Riders Union's motto should be, "Let the People Go."
The T should just advise
The T should just advise people taking the Green Line to walk to wherever they're going, always.
Old town wisdom
As my father likes to say;
"Should we walk, or do we have time to take the T?"
cool
Your father sounds like a cool dude.
By chance, was he a member
of the MIT Model Railroad Club at some point? That's where I first heard that saying some years ago.
Actually
He is a professor at MIT, and was a student there before that (basically he arrived and never left), but I don't believe he was ever part of that club. He may have picked it up from someone else, but I suspect he's just lived here long enough that it comes naturally. This is the MBTA we're talking about!
