The automated announcements (not to mention they were in all caps) this afternoon actually cited it as a "sewage problem." I was impressed that they actually admitted the problem publicly for once. The text alerts were still lame.

about this marked "Green and Orange Line Alert". Not counting the the "Hurricane Service" alerts last weekend because of Earl, it's the first time I've seen a single alert issued for multiple lines.

And I agree that using "maintenance problem" is pretty lame, especially if they were posting "sewage problem" on the announcements within the system itself.

the junkies that hang out by the bus stop might have their problems, but calling them "sewage" is a little much

Does this mean we'll soon be hearing the voice of the Chief of the Transit Police Department reminding us that our eyes, our ears, and our noses are the first line of defense?

"If you smell something, say something."
