But what's interesting about the commenter is their unwitting retro orthodoxy: Modern thinking doesn't tend to categorize perpetrators of sex crimes to be hetero-, homo-, or any other kind of -sexual. Generally speaking, the tendency towards sexual violence is viewed as a defect which is independent of whatever a person's non-violent, non-depraved sexual tendencies may be, if indeed they have any.
It's this same kind of thinking that leads a certain kind of person to blame child sexual abuse in the Catholic Church as being largely the fault of "gay" priests, and of course the liberal media, when of course the issue isn't whether they're gay or not-- it's that they're pedophiles. (The priests I mean, not the liberal media. Not most of them anyway.) So, bravo to you 1047, and best of luck to you in dragging us back to the past. Next stop, 1950!

I may be confusing 1047 with somebody else, but I seem to recall that whenever he pops in to UH, his "contribution" is entirely focused on blaming heterosexual males for whatever problem being discussed.
We don't know that
We do know that most males who commit violent sexual crimes against males or females identify as exclusively straight. But if we're going to ascertain that a male who commits a sexual crime against a female is therefore hetero, we'd also have to ascertain that males who are sexually violent against males are gay, which most aren't.
You make a somewhat valid point that people are quick to point out one's demographic info when it's minority status but not when it's majority status, but this isn't really the place to make that point since we don't in fact have any info that he's straight.
