It's kind of hit or miss, but sometimes you do end up with someone who gives a damn. I once had someone on the hotline call the bus depot to find out why the damn bus hadn't shown up in so long.
She didn't get a reason, but she was able to tell me that they just had a bus leave, and it would be there in a few minutes. Sure enough, one did show up a few minutes later...
I take the 66 5-6 times a week to various stops and from various directions, and actually find the drivers quiet nice and helpful. More than once, they have actually stopped the bus after they closed the doors when my son and I had just missed it and were dashing across the street.
My only complaint about the 66 is 1) it gets bogged down by traffic in Brooklike and 2) the 'sit and spread your legs' mentality of some of the tanner residents in the city in the back of the bus.
If you are crying because a bus driver is curt, and doesn't say hello back, move out to Iowa where there is no public transit. Maybe you're just a douche, as they have always said hello to me.
PS - You are most likely a douche. Howse life in cambridge? Did Scott Brown give you a ride to work, hippie?

Stop funding this crap, buy everybody a Tata, and be done with it.
Maybe the Brother should call the MBTA hotline and complain?
