New trees by the Museum of Science

Mark Jaquith reports on 20 linden tree planted last week in front of the Museum of Science to replace the trees cut down in January for road and sidewalk work:

It will be a real pleasure to regain the shade, cooling and wonderful smell of the flowers when they bloom in early summer.

sigh

Too bad they essentially rebuild the old design rather than the nice alternative we saw in the drawings...

lindens...ugh

These are beautiful trees but when they bloom I am very allergic, they make my throat close up. Boston plants them in so many prominent places that I can no longer enjoy in flower season.

Me too

As far as I know, there is NOTHING that I am more allergic to. ;~{
