Oak Square could get Japanese food

A Japanese restaurant proposed for 529 Washington St. goes before the Boston Licensing Board on Oct. 20.

The license proposal for 350-square-foot Hoshi Japanese Restaurant calls for hours of 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.

A sushi place would break the pizza/chinese takeout pattern of washington st....so i hope this gets approved.

I have a hard time imagining that it'd be better than Asahi in Brighton Center, though. That place is great.

Did this go through? Fiorella's is an improvement over the standard pizza joint offerings, but a Japanese option would be welcome here...
