A police report unlikely to convince longtime Mission Hill residents that college students are an asset to the neighborhood

Boston Police report a pair of allegedly inebriated college students learned early this morning that most people don't appreciate having them break into their apartment and ransack it. Also, the roof of the Stop & Shop is not the best place to hide from police, especially not after you call your bud, who is in the process of being arrested, and blurt out where you are.

The police report refers to them as "college kids", but doesn't say which school(s) they attend. I won't make any assumptions here... They're from Marblehead and Connecticut, so may very well go to Harvard and Yale.

According to the twenty times they mentioned what shirts the kids were wearing, something tells me they don't appreciate those damn Celtics fans running amok either.

Northeastern doesn't have a traditional semester schedule so, yeah, they could have been NEU students but my bet is on out-of-towners.

An interesting analysis should be completed measuring the number of police incidents caused by Boston residents versus out-of-towners and college student-aged kids versus the general population.

I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks some stereotypes.
