Cab driver arrested on charge of kidnapping rider after dispute over destination

Channel 7 reports on one woman's terrifying ride after the guy tried to drop him and her friend off at the wrong Quincy address and he refused to take them to the right place. The report doesn't specify if he's a potential entrant in the "Boston cabbies suck" file, but he did pick them up at a Boston nightclub, which would seem to indicate he's a Boston hack.

A few years back a Boston cab driver refused to turn down the street of my destination and instead bypassed it by about a 1/2 mile before he turned around. The entire time I was speaking to him... please take this left, this is where my stop is, please let me out, please stop. He said nothing the entire ride. At one point I was so freaked out that I nearly jumped out of the moving cab. Eventually he let me out of the cab. Thought I was going to have a heart attack.

Another frightening cab related experience, Cambridge this time:
Was covering the receptionist's day off when I got a call from a co-worker stating her cab driver was yelling obscenities at her. I called the cab company to issue a complaint, but begged them not to fire the driver. Well, the driver was fired. Guess who showed up in the lobby piss drunk and threatening me an hour later? Scary.
My point:
In the future if I did feel it was necessary to report a cab driver, I'd make sure they didn't know where to find me for fear of retaliation.
