Why is Dan so eager to reject other ways of looking at a situation, especially ways that would require him to conclude he was originally wrong? Perhaps he should add the words "stubborn" and "intransigent" to his current blog description that includes the words "bloviate beyond his experience" since bloviate means "to speak loudly, verbosely, and at great length, without saying much."
