T police: Perv captured on Twitter arrested again

MBTA Transit Police tweet that the guy arrested in August for alleged Red Line grossness after a Twitter user posted his photo while he was still on the train was arrested around 12:25 p.m. yesterday at the Hynes stop on the Green Line for pretty much the same thing.

Lawrence Maguire's arrest came about an hour after he left Boston Municipal Court after a pre-trial hearing on the August case, the MBTA says. The 59-year-old Dorchester resident is now due back at the court today for arraignment on yesterday's charge.

A Transit Police report gives the following account of yesterday's arrest:

Maguire took an inbound Green Line "E" trolley from Haymarket Station to Park Street Station where he changed to an outbound "C" trolley. Maguire got off the "C" trolley at Hynes MBTA Station. After getting off the trolley, I observed Maguire lean against a support structure and begin to manipulate his hands in front of him near his waist. I also observed him motion his head as though he was attempting to get the attention of two Asian females who were sitting on the bench close to where he stood. On observing Maguire's actions, I placed myself in a position to better observe him. I observed Maguire had his penis exposed. Maguire on seeing me immediately tried to zip his pants and turn away.

I identified myself as police officer to several unidentified passengers on the platform and asked if they saw what Maguire had done. None of the passengers indicated they saw Maguire's actions. As I spoke to the unidentified passengers, Maguire fled towards the stairs. I pursued and caught up to Maguire at the bottom of the stairway and identified myself as a police officer. Maguire began swinging his arms at me striking me in the upper arm and chest area. After a 2-3 minute struggle, Maguire was subdued and was placed in handcuffs.
