They're ba-ACK!

Gee, and it's been so nice getting in and out of the post office or the grocery store without standing in line for half an hour, and having parking spaces open for friends to come visit. Oh well, looks like that's all over 'til May.

Students at the bigger/more notable institutions come tromping back:

Jan 11 - Berklee, Northeastern
Jan 13 - BU, Emmanuel
Jan 19 - BC, Emerson, N.E. Conservatory, Suffolk, Wentworth
Jan 20 - Boston Conservatory, Simmons, Wheelock
Jan 25 - Harvard, Lesley
MIT's Intersession Activities Period got rolling last week; spring session starts Feb 2. (Omitted RCC, MassArt and UMass, since most of them already live here.)

I do love having the students around -- they help keep the town (and me) "young at heart". But sometimes there are just too damn MANY of them.

But just as their are bad apples and bad eggs there will always be students who really should have taken some time off to grow up a little before attending school. It's why I moved from Brighton, I still have all the benefits of the city, just none of the college students.

We were a forward thinking city long before the college students got here. That is why so many colleges are here. Please don't sell our beloved area short.
