Nice bar there

It's a nice space, I recommend all go and have a drink to help them out of bankruptcy.

Agreed

I hope they pull through, as that is truly a nice place

"Nice"?

Might be nice on the inside, but it's another eyesore on the Boston skyline. Why do so many other cities get interesting architecture, yet we keep getting boxes...

$10.5M loan to a private developer?

Why, that's three times what we need to fund the budget deficit for the Boston Public Library system. Huh, how about that? I wonder how many miles of bike lanes, signage, bike racks, police bike units, and traffic enforcement details that could pay for?

Way to go, Menino. Give money to a luxury hotel in a crashing economy, with several competitors, in a down real estate market, which has stated to you that they KNOW they're on such shaky ground that they need $10M. BRILLIANT. How did ANYONE think that this was a good idea? It's obviously not. Which means that someone did it as a favor, was manipulated, or bribed.

$10,500,000? That's enough to give TWO HUNDRED SMALL BUSINESSES $50k loans. Imagine how much more that would do for the economy in Boston? But no, it had to go straight into the pockets of the richest business owners in Boston- and they're going to walk away with all their personal assets, laughing their asses off.

It's tough being rich
