What is it about Braintree pedestrians and I-93?

For the second time in a week, somebody tried getting across I-93 on foot and didn't succeed.

And Storrow! Last week I nearly ran a woman down who was sprinting across Storrow at 10pm.

There's essentially a crosswalk at the Arlington Street exit, which often gets used before, during, and after Hatch Shell events.

It was near Clarendon St. At least she had the good sense to be running across three lanes of traffic instead of six.

Is anybody sure that this really isn't really Rt. 128?

The big "END 128" and "BEGIN 128" signs in Canton should be a clue.

But it was a part of 128 in the last century, therefore ...

While sad, this shouldn't come as a surprise. People here will walk in front of anything expecting them to stop. I've seen mothers pushing baby strollers against the light into traffic, morons leaping out in front of buses. The jaywalking is just so stupid, I saw the aftermath of a woman killed on newbury st a few years back because she was jaywalking. Use the damn crosswalks and wait for the light. And definitely don't try to cross 93.

If there is demand to cross at that point, then there should be pedestrian bridges.

a new version of that video game - 'Frogger, the I-93 Edition'.

Yes I know that joke is in bad taste. Please don't set the 'bus-and-trolley vs cars on Orientation Day' army loose on me.

I'm sorry, in advance.
