What we do for our blogs

That Kind of Girl admits she paid for a dicounted spray-tan session at an Allston salon partly so she could write about it. But she reports she walked out feeling really good about herself and her new bronzed look:
... My fixation on the cosmetic benefits of spray-tanning hits an extreme when I catch myself staring at my own reflection in the dull metal siding of the Planned Parenthood across the street from the tanning salon. ...

Methinks someone else should
Methinks someone else should have thought of Planned Parenthood much longer ago.
Yeah, that seems pretty
Yeah, that seems pretty reasonable. "Someone blogs about tanning, so probably their parents should have aborted them." Definitely an in-scale response.
Oh my gosh! You're totally
Oh my gosh! You're totally right! I spraytanned and wrote a blog entry about it -- someone call Doc Brown and tell him fire up the Delorean: we must go back in time and warn my parents to abort me before it's too late! Or, actually, just to be safe, should we go back a couple more decades and purge them too? 'cause I heard that once my mom called a friend to ask what color bikini to buy so, y'know, we'd kind of be running a risk by letting her live as well.
aaaand the joke falls flat
...since only around 3% of the services Planned Parenthood provides are abortion-related.
So as an educated consumer, I'm assuming you're suggesting Ms. Spraytan go and get a pap smear, or a cholesterol test, or a physical exam. And those are thoughful things to remind people to go do. So kudos to you for being concerned and making sure people get routine health care!
