What's odd about this (that the police apparently had to put the fire out themselves, lacking firemen) is that that KFC is practically within sight of the Allston firehouse, on the opposite side of Union Square.

Fire Dept. DID respond
Weird - according to this story, which ran on Wicked Local on 2/17, the fire department DID respond, but apparently the policemen had already doused the fire with snow.
