Apparently there was a huge truck fire on Rt. 2 in Arlington/Belmont this afternoon.
That's a helluva big truck...
for a student's belongings.
Sometimes...
...all the smaller ones are gone. Thus, you get the big one that has maintenance issues.
UHaul has never given me the truck I've asked for
I've made reservations months in advance only to get an email a night or two before the move saying "We can't give you the truck you asked for. Here's something comically oversized. Have fun driving it!"
I've reserved trucks 4 times in 5 years and this has happened every single time without fail.

Go Penske first, Budget second. Both much more reliable and much better companies.
UHaul never gives you the right trucks, and many times will double book your truck out, leaving you stranded. They also take a deposit up front, which they will not give back when you run into trouble with them, which the others don't do.

Have used them 3-4 times since 2003 and love them. Keith, aka the man with a van, is also a musician and the business helps support that. Highly recommend!
