The $17 burger

Richard Chudy reports the burger at Clink is good, but not orgasmically, $17 good:

[T]his is very good burger, but anything that is this expensive has to be out-of-this-world. A fried egg and cheddar cheese in no way make this a luxurious burger, you end up paying for the allure of the Liberty Hotel, which is unique in its own way, but the ambiance should not dictate the price of a hamburger.

Compare to the $22 burger at Asana.

Ambiance should not dictate the price of a hamburger, but it should dictate the price of a drink though, right?

. . . tried "Tasty Burgers" after the ball game Friday night for the first time- and it was indeed- a tasty burger. Fries were cold though and somewhat hard.

Oh- and Natick now has a "Five Guys burgers" off rt 9 near the "Building 19". That's a good chain for burger lovers.

Natick's Five Guys opened in November. As of a week ago, work was still being done on the upcoming Five Guys in Medford.

I had a nice burger with a fried egg and cheddar at Orleans in Somerville two weeks ago for just $13 (it's "the Cottage" on the their menu). Had a nice view of Holland St. for ambiance.

$17 burgers cause gentrification. Low-income renters cannot afford them. I call for legislation to force Whole Foods to subsidize hamburgers for the long-time residents of this neighborhood.
