In good use
At 1:30 today, the chimes were in full use.
Used them Thursday night
The chimes were working Thursday night when I took the Red Line home from a NERD meetup. I got my technique back quickly -- used the Red Line a lot when I was an MIT student in the 80's. People were kind of looking at me funny. I don't know whether folks will use them as much as they used to.
I'm not sure I'd be quite so pessimistic about the MTBF, but yeah, they will of course break again.
