This time on Quincy Street, the Herald reports. It's part of a city crackdown on drugs, prostitution and rats along Blue Hill Avenue.

I don't know about the rest of the UHUB community
But nothing says romance like a tryst in a "rat-infested garage and a vacant lot..."
Just call me an old softy.
Spray a bit of Febreze around
And you're good to go, at least, based on what I see on TV.
Revere Beach, early 80s
Bad enough you'd pop your head up now and then and see a rat on the hood watching. Worse was when they'd critique your performance. Some people like an audience, though.
Better title...
"Another Roxbury Slut Hut Shut"
Imma be that person
and say "isn't that in Dorchester?"
You knew I'd bite. 55 Quincy
You knew I'd bite. 55 Quincy is west of Blue Hill ave - makes it the Bury. Most of Quincy st is in Dorchester.
Hmm...
Boston Latin Academy is even further west and it thinks it's in Dorchester.
Not for much longer
Zing!
And another hmmm
I would have said BLA was in Roxbury, but I see they are indeed listed as Dorchester. But that designation comes from the post office, which we all know is often wrong. See for example, the section of West Roxbury that the post office considered to be Roslindale until quite recently. I agree with Not Whitney -- anything west of Blue Hill Ave. Is Roxbury.
I assume you mean the section
I assume you mean the section of Roslindale that Roslindale residents wanted to be including into West Roxbury to raise their property values.
Why would somebody in
Why would somebody in Roslindale want to pretend to live in West Roxbury? The point remains valid, though, which is that the post office doesn't always follow the actual neighborhood boundaries.
Roslindale wasn't always as stylin' as it is now
I remember when the Globe did a fairly long piece about those people, oh, four or five years ago? The main reason, hmm, perhaps the only reason, was property values - potential buyers still think houses are worth more in West Roxbury.
When I went to Boston Tech in
When I went to Boston Tech in the same building, they tried to say the same thing. I think the fact that it was built as Roxbury Memorial should end the discussion. I'm sure the switch was made to Dorchester because the city didn't want white parents to be afraid of sending their sons to Roxbury. I started there the year after the Grove Hall riots, just down the street. It's the same story of the Amazing Shrinking Roxbury.
Shrinking Roxbury
Roxbury is getting so small there will hardly be space left for crime or anything else. I live in Fort Hill/Highland Park/Roxbury Highlands, call it what you will, but recently a real estate flier popped up referring to a house up the street as being in Mission Hill East!
