Associated Press reminds its members what Boston's airport is called

Jim Romanesko posts Associated Press's 9/11 style guide, which includes:
The first name of an individual and the word international may be deleted from a formal airport name while the remainder is capitalized: John F. Kennedy International Airport, Kennedy International Airport, or Kennedy Airport. Use whichever is appropriate in the context.
Do not make up names, however. There is no Boston Airport, for example. The Boston airport (lowercase airport) would be acceptable if for some reason the proper name, Logan International Airport, were not used.

Unless you're a New Hampshire airport
They love to be known as BOSTON-(manchester) Airport.
(I have used that airport. It is actually a perfectly acceptable airport. It is not, however, a "Boston airport".)
-"I'll be home on
-"I'll be home on Saturday"
-"K great, I'll meet you at the airport, where are you flying in?"
-"John Fitzgerald Kennedy International Airport, New York City, New York, United States of America"
Or even pickier ...
"John Fitzgerald Kennedy International Airport, Borough of Queens, New York City, New York, United States of America."
I used to love stuff like that, although my all-time favorite remains the header on court documents filed in "the county, city and state of New York."
what about
"in and for the county of Los Angeles"?
(in a moment, the results of that trial)
Not quite, AP
Actually, the airport in East Boston with identifier KBOS has two proper names, neither of which is Logan International Airport. They are:
General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport; or
Boston-Logan International Airport.
Sure, and Kennedy Airport
Sure, and Kennedy Airport isn't a proper name for KJFK. But it IS according to AP Style, just like Logan International Airport is AP-acceptable.
Yeah, that's what the first
Yeah, that's what the first sentence was about, in case you missed it: "The first name of an individual and the word international may be deleted from a formal airport name while the remainder is capitalized"
General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport
General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport.
