Blue Line service halted as police chase man through tunnel and up onto State Street

Might be armed with a knife; climbed up an emergency exit at 136 State St., AlertNewEngland reports. Police are looking for a black man in his 30s, bald, in a gray hoodie and a Red Sox hat. Blue Line service resumed around 1:50.

When I follow your link to AlertNewEngland's page, I don't see any messages more recent than 6 hours ago. Nothing about this Blue Line incident or the one at the zoo.

Did the police catch him? I saw a man matching this description on the green line about half an hour ago. He had a cut on his hand. He got off at Arlington and he was sweating heavily...Didn't have red sox hat though.

They lost him, I believe. The footprints led toward Faneuil Hall, but I don't think they ever found him there. Interestingly, he was described as "holding" the Sox hat.
