I'm skeptical. They seem to want to make it this nice upscale kind of place to hang out but a) it's right next to the traffic of Tremont Street and b) what are they going to do about the large number of homeless people who call that corner of the park home?
The visitor's kiosk on the Tremont side is closed for renovations, the Boston Convention and Visitor's Bureau information office has moved across the street, but has no bathroom. If this is like the usual government contract renovation (like Kenmore Station), we'll still be waiting in 2015.

Is this for the tourists?

Might be better to get a bathroom

Renovations?
Didn't they just build that thing?
Didnt you hear? They want to
Didnt you hear? They want to take all the existing bathrooms (locked) and turn them into fancy restaurants.
