Buddy Cianci no longer only candidate for public office ever charged with assault with a lit cigarette

A Cambridge City Council candidate challenged the local paper to look up his criminal record in its archives, so it did. Just like the felonious ex-mayor of Providence, Jamake Pascual has a record that includes assault with a lit cigarette, although unlike Cianci, it was on a police officer, not his estranged wife's alleged boyfriend.

He's been covering Cambridge online since (maybe) before the Web, even! One of the things he does is run stuff like that straight from the candidates.
