Citizen complaint of the day: Southie not about to let some upstart like JP steal its crown as space-saving capital of America

Southie chair Somebody who thinks saving a space on a public street is a problem reported this pre-snow space saver on F Street in South Boston.

Of course, the wily spacesaving Southie resident removed the chair before a city DPW worker could do so.

See competing early-season efforts in Eastie, Brighton, Roslindale and JP.

Pre-Snow Space Saver

The picture is not on Tudor Street. The picture is on F street between Tudor Street and West Sixth Street. In the background of the picture is the Boys & Girls Club which is on the corner of West Sixth Street and F Street.

Fixed, thanks

Address updated.

Why?

Why even send that to citizens connect, if you need to park there just get it out of the way.

I love CC, but some people waste their time!

When I lived in Brighton

When I lived in Brighton, the neighbors on both sides of us marked their spots year round. They were perfectly healthy people in their 40's-50's that still lived in the houses they grew up in. One guy marked his with his trash cans and spent every evening at the local watering hole after work. One summer night I heard a commotion and went to the window. Someone had moved his trash cans and parked in "his" space. He was in a drunken rage, dumping the contents of his trash cans all over the offending car. This was the same guy who's idea of cleaning up after his dogs was to hose down the paved area right next to our kitchen when the stench became unbearable.

Stupid Yuppies

give Southie a bad name.
