Flame broiling damages Dorchester McDonald's, injures worker

The Dorchester Reporter reports a kitchen fire around 7 a.m. at the Gallivan Boulevard McDonald's caused heavy smoke damage and left one worker with a burned hand.

**which means that they buy flame broiled flavor from Dow Chemical and mix it into the patties that they microwave anyway.

Smoke billows out of BK's but I can't believe they're actually griiling burgers back there.

The burgers aren't broiled on a grill

Unless it's changed, I believe the Burger King patties go in raw on a chain conveyer belt type contraption that takes them slowly through a steel flame broiler box and they come out cooked on the other side. I don't believe there's a "grill" involved. My Burger King visits are infrequent these days but that's how it used to be.
