Both the Globe and the Herald report an E-5 detective and three officers are on paid leave while BPD investigates their overtime-pay appearances at West Roxbury District Court for cases for which they may not have been required to attend.

Police witnesses
Interesting. I was on a jury last year, the prosecutor was extraordinarily inept, but he managed to call upon 6-7 police officers for testimony (and only officers). They were relevant to the case, but the case was terrible, the evidence sketchy.
Perhaps they were all just happy to squeeze out some extra dough from the system?
Boston Police stealing from Boston taxpayers
I wonder if Commisioner Davis considers lying about court duty (stealing pay) to be equally as illegal as testilying.
It's significant that testiyling is perjury but why should he and we tolerate Boston Police stealing from Boston taxpayers?
