Boston residents can drop off hazardous and toxic stuff on June 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DPW garage in West Roxbury (behind the Home Depot by Millennium Park). Proof of residency required. See what you can bring.

Just some empty propane tanks, but a quick process. West Rox looks like a Central New Jersey suburb.

But yeah, Westie's about as suburban as you get in Boston (parts of Roslindale and Hyde Park feel even more rural, but the houses are smaller).

And yeah, we dropped off a couple of old paint cans and the line moved really quickly, and the only minorly jarring thing was the guy in one of those NASA suits joking he'd have to confiscate my phone when he saw me taking pictures with it.
