How do you get to Fenway?

Seen inside the Copley Square outbound stop.

I almost took a picture of this. Thee MBTA certainly spares no expense when it comes to signage do they?

Look at the coloring, some idiot installed it on the wrong side.

Instead of vandalizing it, it should have been reported to the MBTA so they can switch it to the inbound side.

It's not on the wrong side. The lighter shade is meant to show the stations not reachable from the direction one is located. In theory, it's more informative than just not showing the stations whatsoever (the old "you can get there from here" signs) but it seems people haven't been able to grasp the lighter shade thing.

Yeah, it's not obvious which color is which. The old maps with no station names in one direction made that pretty clear.

Maybe show the station names greyed out, borrowing from computer interface design?

This is just too subtle. I don't think the issue is that people can't grasp the lighter shade thing, but that if you don't know the answer in advance (i.e., that a lighter shade means that you can't go in that direction from this entrance), then it's perfectly ambiguous.

It's obvious what it means only when you already understand the situation. Something this basic needs to be made explicit on the map, not subtly pointed out with slightly different shades of green whose meaning subject to interpretation.
