Once an hour, it takes a picture. Can anyone tell where it is?

got it?
Green St. at corner of Chestnut St.
I'm wrong?
I think that I'm wrong about it being at this corner since I can't place the yellow house.
Hmm, on
Lamartine St?
Amory St in JP
Amory St in JP
Lamartine
I thought Amory at first, but looks more like Lamartine looking from Jackson to Stony.
It can't be Lamartine
The buildings would be on the other side of the street from the viewing angle. The right side would be the park if it were Lamartine.
Not looking from Jackson to Stony Brook
Park would be on the left, housing on the right, as in the picture.
True, but then we wouldn't see the Hancock
The camera is pointing in the direction of downtown. See the other posts about Chestnut Ave., which is the correct location.
Really?
This is kind of amusing, but it's an hourly shot of an arterialish street. Aren't webcams supposed to refresh frequently and be pointed at an area where you get foot traffic and interesting sights?
agreed.
This is almost like a webcam parody. It shows nothing, really, and not very often.
Chestnut Ave. at Ashley St.

Looking Northeast. Note the yellow house at the next corner, then the light blue house further up at Roys St.
Nope,. the newish row houses are different
Observe the roof line detail. Also, note how the picture does not have buildings by the sidewalk on the left side, whereas your Google maps link is highly built on both sides of the street.
[edit]
I take that back, I didn't look far enough down the street. The yellow/orange corner house is the real smoking gun.

Bingo
And speaking of Bing - you can rotate your aerial view on Bing maps. This view makes it quite obvious - Camera is probably in 57-59 Chestnut ave.

In fact, you can tell looking at the elevation and where the point of view intersects with the corner of the row houses and the eaves on the yellow house, that's it's probably set up in the windows in the top left corner of this view:

Location
I think it's in the top of 4 Ashley
or maybe the guy in the blue
or maybe the guy in the blue shirt just goes to the roof every hour and takes a pic on his phone...
Amory Street after Green Street and before Minton Street
My old neighborhood!
On second thought...
The yellow building in the background doesn't look like the one on Amory... Hmmm...
This is my Webcam!
Super sleuths, I created this webcam to create time lapse videos of the seasons changing. I've been uploading to an FTP server each hour for the last 2 yrs. Then I figured out how to email it as a blog post. Thanks!
Very nice!
So there is a point to this thing after all! How about a link to a video or 2?
