MBTA expects to have most services running tomorrow; Riverside Line still a bit iffy

The MBTA says it hopes to have all trains, buses and ferries running on normal weekday schedules first thing Monday morning.
The one possible problem: The Riverside Line, hard hit with track-seeking trees and limbs that came down in impressive numbers, in some cases landing on overhead wires on their way down.
"Crews are working very hard to have the Riverside Line ready for the morning commute," the T said in a statement."
The T estimates crews responded today to more than 100 reports of trees or large limbs down on subway and commuter-rail lines.

And theres still time for a few more trees to fall over. Reports from NYC say wind gusts are still strong down there. The "eye"* of the hurricane is still just north of Mass as of 7pm est.
*Eye collapsed at landfall, so whatever they call the center now.
When you say normal schedules
Do you mean like closed instead, or do you mean like open for a few hours in the morning?
Good ole' MBTA
Wait until something happens, then do something.
It snows every winter, gets hot every summer, AND we had days notice of this storm. The MBTA never quite plans ahead now do they? At least this time around they stopped all service instead of having multiple of "delays".
Yeah, you're right anon!
Why didn't they clear all these downed trees before the hurricane hit?
now, don't be so snippy...
You know s/he was talking about spraying all the T-line corridors with Agent Orange before the storm.
You have to wonder how many of those trees
that fell onto the Riverside line yesterday were originally scheduled to be removed under the last tree-thinning project. That is, until Brookline and Newton intervened with their "woodsman spare that tree" routine.
