I'm a huge supported of busy waterfronts especially since Boston Harbor has been cleaned up. But what about THE FILENES HOLE????????????????????????????????

So, are you proposing that other projects in the city be put on hold while Menino and Co. deal with the crooks at Vornado? I want to see the hole filled too. That doesn't mean that a completely unrelated project - one that has the potential to benefit more people than whatever happens with the Filene's hole- should be delayed or neglected.

Or is Menino getting so old it's hard to juggle multiple problems and priorities?

Is it me, or is he seeming to slow down in his recent public performances? I honestly think age is getting the better of him, not to mention it's high time we get some fresh blood in the mayors office who will promote and keep Boston on the bleeding edge of technology, biotech and the like.

That weird jumble of concrete pylons near Maverick, owned by Massport?

...Not a bad idea, to squeeze a little dough out of Massport's cruise ship revenue and use it to spark some of the promised development on the Eastie waterfront. But knowing how things work around here (or being a completely cynical bolus of paranoid bile, take your pick) his helping some developer put in luxury condos on the waterfront with million dollar views of the city will be used to tell the residents who complain about the casino being pushed on them to "stifle it you ungrateful slobs, lookit alls I done fuh yez."

But then again I'm grumpy.
