One-alarm fire in Jamaica Plain displaces two, injures two firefighters

A one-alarm fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m. at 18 Catumet St., the Boston Fire Department reports.

One firefighter suffered an ankle injury; another was taken to the hospital as a precaution when he reported feeling lightheaded.

The fire did an estimated $500,000 damage, the department reports, adding the blaze was caused by a short circuit in a coffeemaker.
