Police: Steamed woman dunks romantic rival with iced coffee

Ice coffeeWicked Local Newton reports a Watertown woman is charged with wasting a perfectly good iced coffee she'd just bought at the Beacon Street Dunkin' Donuts by throwing it at another woman - after which she allegedly told the now drenched victim to stay away from her man.

However, she got a brewed awakening of her own: Police caught up with her and told her they had grounds to summons her for assault and battery.

Ain't no such thing as "a perfectly good iced coffee" from Dunkin' Donuts. Story must be fabricated out of whole cloth.

The opening line reminds me of the Great Fenway Pizza-Tossing of 2007, when Jerry Remy states, "This man is now been asked to leave the ballgame for wasting a perfectly good piece of pizza!"

You never use DD's food to hurt other people, that's just a no-no in Boston, esp. with a police force who LOVE parking at their stores!

Plus, really lady, do you think you live in TV-land where those kind of actions have no repercussions??? Screaming threatening words to that other woman is justifiably assault, tossing the drink at her is definitely battery.

Given that assault and battery are standing plot points on "reality" shows like Real Housewives and Jersey Shore, perhaps she does think that? After all, if these "real" folks never get sent to the clink for their transgressions, why should she?
